The idea of a short film is choice 2, it was appealing to me however I was struggling to come up with any individual and unique ideas that will be successful in the 5 minute time frame that we have. It is extremely difficult to create a good short film that abides by Todorov's theory whereby there is firstly a state of equilibrium, followed by a disruption and recognition of the event, to be finished by an attempt to overcome the disequilibrium and a new one. The audience's emotions must be targeted in order for it to be successful, this is a challenging brief.
