Props
Props are a very important part of our music video. The guitar makes the perfirmace a lot more beleivable and professional, comparible to the orignal by James Bay. However, the focus was to be put on the relationship between the actors and therefore we did not want many props.
The boat is a prop which we had to hire on the day. We had 30 minutes to get all the footage we needed before handing back the boat. This was, fortunately, achievable. This was a neccessary prop which we wanted to use as it enables up to show the happiness between the couple before they drift apart later in the music video.
The coffee cups are props which were not used in the final music video production. We wanted to use them to show they are an ordinary couple which the audience are able to identify with. We did not use this prop as the footage was not successful or professional.
The most important prop is the guitar. James Bay plays the guitar and therefore we wanted to make our take on Let It Go as realistic as possible. The guitar is in all the performance shots with out actor.
