Philippa Golding

My group and I are looking for a young male (late teens) who can sing and play the guitar to ensure that it looks believable. We would also like him to be able to act, however this can be easily improvised because there will be no speech needed for the music video and he will not be adressing the audience via close ups speaking into the camera.

 

The initial ideas for actors to play this role were:

• Gianni Huseyin

• Ben Austin

• Connor Panayi

All three of these people fit our specification and requirements needed for our music video. However, we have decided upon Ben Austin as the actor playing the artist (James Bay) because his appearance will be best suited to fit the look of the actual artist who sings Let It Go. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ben Austin

 

Ben is 18 years old and a friend of everyone in the group, this is convenient as we have easy access to contact him and update him on anything. He plays guitar and sings in his free time so my group and I are confident that he would be able to learn the song and be able to present it successfully for our music video. As well as this Ben takes Media A2 so we feel confident that he knows the importance of this project and he will arrive on the days neccessary without letting us down. 

 

 

 

The girlfriend is a very important character in the music video as the storyline is based around their relationship. We are trying to find someone who is around the same age as Ben but who is shorter than he is. This is the typical image of a heterosexual couple and we would like to obide by the stereotypes and conventions of a young relationship.

• Vicki Burr

• Holly Sheridon

These three potential cast members were chosen because fo the appearence of them. However, Annie's availabily was difficult to work around due to her sport commitments and Holly is taller than Ben, our chosen male actor. The stereotypical and conventional heterosexual couple shows the girl shorter than the boy, we wanted to stick to this convention.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vicki Burr

 

Vicki is 17 years old, a similar age to Ben. This is ideal to make the relationship between the two of them look realistic. She is a very confident individual who enjoys acting. Vicki is currently taking Media Studies at college, therfore, similar to Ben, she understands the importance of this project and will not let us down. As a groupd we believe the two actors will look like a belivable couple who will look good together in the music video.
